"What is rooted is easy to nourish. What is recent is easy to correct. What is brittle is easy to break. What is small is easy to scatter. Prevent trouble before it arises, put things in order before they exist. The tiny pine tree grows from a single sprout. The journey of a thousand miles starts from beneath your feet."

~Tao Te Ching

KAYLA LAKUSTA

Over 12 years ago, my journey into the study of mind-body connections began, inspired by my background in competitive swimming. After high school, I earned a Massage Therapy diploma from Mount Royal University, which deepened my interest in the physical aspects of pain. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, where I delved into Eastern traditions and philosophies, ultimately discovering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Studying TCM was not just a career choice; it was a lifestyle commitment. I am dedicated to holistic health, integrating various practices to address the root causes of issues. I believe that humans, like all living beings, are microcosms of the natural world, and much of my practice focuses on aligning with nature’s rhythms.

Today, I am a certified practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, having graduated from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am also a member of the Alberta Governing Board of Acupuncturists (CAAA). My passion for learning motivates me to continually expand my knowledge, exploring diverse styles and modalities from around the globe to provide personalized care for each individual.

My commitment to Eastern philosophy influences my daily life, encouraging me to connect with like-minded individuals, inspire new ideas, and grow as a creative, engaged practitioner.
